For the sixth time, Grupo Daabon is the top-ranked company in the world for sustainable palm oil production
In its most recent assessment, the SPOTT platform, an initiative by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), ranked the Colombian company Grupo Daabon as the number 1 in the palm oil category after reviewing its transparency in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) policies. SPOTT assessed 100 palm oil producers, processors, and traders regarding public disclosure about their organization, sustainability-related policies and practices, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
Daabon reclaimed the top spot, growing by 8.1 points since the last evaluation, reaching a total score of 95.6%. Moreover, it serves as an example by monitoring global media coverage of the evaluated companies, thanks to its international recognition for sustainable practices that prioritize natural resources, the environment, and communities.
For Manuel Julián Dávila Abondano, president of Grupo Daabon, “with great honor and pride, we receive the news of being number one in palm oil agriculture responsibility worldwide. It has been a challenge for us to maintain social and sustainability criteria, which is why at Daabon, we work 24/7 to secure these positions, elevating Colombian palm cultivation.”
Grupo Daabon, with a presence on 4 continents and a leader in agro-industrial, agricultural, port, and logistics sectors, reaffirms its practices focused on comprehensive care for the agricultural ecosystem. Additionally, they express pride in continuing to conquer international markets with organic and sustainable products harvested in Colombian regions and distributed worldwide.
